At the age of 22 Pedro A. Jimenez was deployed to Morocco, North Africa. He serviced his country for a period of two years. He was drafted to the Spanish occidental African colony of Sidi ifni with the Regular Spanish African forces 10526 field artillery (Spanish Foreing Legion). Francisco Franco was in command of the Spanish forces at the time. Pedro was against Franco's ideals and decided to leave Europe to come to America seeking for new adventures and freedom.
Pedro A. Jimenez was drawn to become a draft-man or a comic book artist. Being an autodidactic artist, Pedro never care about his formal education. Drawing became his passion, so he pursuit his dreams by going to an art School in Paris, France. He traveled all over Europe making a living selling his artwork at places like the Spanish stairs in Rome, Venice, Italy. Also Switzerland, Paris, and Madrid, Spain.
